Running Humanoid Robot of Toyota, now faster in the robotics industry.

Science and technology is upgrading with brand new ideas day by day. Not an exception in the automakers and robotics industry. As we seen Honda’s ASIMO robots and so on. Korean housemaid robot can do household works at your home

Have you ever imagine a robot walking inside your house, going to your kitchen and doing your household chore with its robotic hand? Well you don’t have to wait any longer to see that in real in the age of technology and science.

Because in Korea, scientist at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology made a domestic robot that can wash cloths and do the laundry and even make your food and heat up in the microwave machine. They name this robot “Mahru-Z”. It is a humanoid robot which moves and work like human with arms and legs. And the size of this robot is also close to human. It can rotate head and has a visualization functionality to “see” objects and identify them and make decision what to do with it. This visualization system is three dimensional so more reliability and improved for detecting object for working with less error. Its weighted only around 120 pounds. It uses 6 fingers though to fill the requirement of doing job in robotic arms to reach more functionality like human. For ability of moving and rotating the hand and elbow it can do the work of good laundry job , such as picking up dirty cloths throwing them to laundry machine and then pushing the button to complete the washing and make the laundry job done.

Another strength of Mahru-Z is that it is autonomous, as it can navigate rooms unattended using its visual sensors, and pick things up on the way.'
Mahru-Z could also work in tandem with its fellow maid robot, Marhu-M, an earlier KIST creation that moves on wheels, as both version of these robot machines can be remote controlled through a computer server so the task are can be reliable and improved in future.
Mahru-Z is the result of KIST's long time research on "cognitive humanoid" robots, a key project at the institution. These projects cost about 4 billion won in currency of Korea (about $3.5 million) per year.

Can we say iPad a computer or not ?

The Apple’s iPad has the touch screen feature, and it has a loads of media supported feature and has created more expectation for us, but can we say this a new generation computer. It created a critical doubt to us right? Because we know windows 7 os is going to give us touchpad functionality. As it giving the thought to call it a keyboard less Laptop.

As it is much smaller and smart looking so it will draw much attraction to the next generation. And its far more than a media player only that has been thought by us in past. Still the matter opposed to it are it is flat and horizontal, and if a docs station is attached with it then it stays also horizontal instead of just vertical like other desktop that reminds us the old computer style. Lately when it has been released there are another lacking about its platform is, you will have no freedom installing apps like firefox or even flash or any other pc based software. So you will be limited to do certain task only rather than the varities of options you do in real computer, but I'll say that it is not bad for specific task for few specific needs.
But the screen size and huge storage than any other hand held phone or itunes it really drew an attention to integrate a new iPad OS version that can make us thinking to compared it with a new doors of laptop or Net-Book.
